Hello.
Well, the worst possible thing that could have ever happened, happened. I woke up to the news that Taylor Swift is dropping an album. I always knew that it was a possibility, but this early on is crazy work. Please include me in your prayers.
Some good news. So, I'm allergic to bananas. I've said that my entire life. No one ever believed me. Well.. I ate a banana, and you’ll never guess what happened… Nothing at all. I have been healed. Miracles are real.
Moving on. Last email here in São Paulo! I'll be flying to Florianópolis Wednesday. My pday in the field will be now be Mondays. I am so blessed to have such a good CTM experience. Amazing companion, amazing district, amazing instructors. Not amazing food. But I'm excited to get out in the field and eat real Brazilian food. Next time you hear from me, I'll be in Florianópolis! 🏝
Português: Every time I speak in Português it really improves my humbleness. We signed our Português contract this week, where we're not allowed to speak in English anymore for the rest of our MTC. I've been quite mute. There will be days I feel confident and then the next day I feel like I know nothing. Learning a new language with a tight timeline is definitely a mind game, but I've always wanted to learn a new language, so I'm grateful.
Some sad news. My companion, Sister Alvey, is returning home to Colorado tonight. She has been experiencing very bad health issues, been in and out of doctor's offices the last couple weeks and the doctor advised her to go home to get it figured out. Once it gets figured out, we're praying she'll be able to come back to Florianópolis! It's very sad, even though our time together was already coming to an end, these people really become your family while we're away from our family at home. You don't want to lose any time together. She became a friend for life, and I'll miss her! But it's good she'll get feeling better.
Highs 🫶🥰
-Campinas temple. (Last time at temple on mission)
-District volleyball games
-I wore a red and white striped sweater and someone said, “I found Waldo!” clever. I laughed.
-Had a can of coke with ice and lime.
As I'm getting ready to leave the MTC bubble and go to the field, I know it'll be hard. I know I'll be bashed, ignored, laughed at and more. But the knowledge that I am blessed to know, is too important to not share. I hope to find many who I can help make covenants with God. Covenants that will bless their lives more than can be explained! I am willing to work and to work hard. I know this mission isn't about me, this is the Lord's work, and I am here to serve him. He deserves my all and 100% effort. The best advice for my mission was: The way to be happy is to forget yourself and get to work. The field is white and ready for harvest. But the field requires work. D&C 4. Bring 'em heaven!
I have already felt so much love and peace from my Savior and I know I can always rely on him. So can you. 🤍
Moito amo, send me a message on messenger or email! I love all the updates.
