hii! bom dia
&
in case you forgot that I got called to the top 5 vacation spot in the world
there you go
my week!
Alexandre
transfers- skip to the end
this week we baptized Alexandre, he's dating a member and 100p they'll be sealed in the temple and have an eternal family.
this past Sunday was so special, Darlan received the Priesthood and alexandre was ordained a member. they were both so happy it made sister de sousa and I so proud. was a great fruit of labor moment.
darlan is doing great, this week I told him now he's going to prepare to serve a mission in the united states and speak English.
this was his reaction
very excited!!
this week at home was a busy one, with my dad and other friends spoke at stake conference and the dance studio I helped with had a competition. Both made me sad not to be there, but it's ok. thankfully I was able to choreograph a dance before I left for my mission, and it was Brazil theme, so I feel like I was still able to be there haha.
& let's just say, if there's a will there's a way because I found a way to find the score sheets because I wasn't patient enough to wait to hear from my mom
sometimes I feel like I'm more needed at home than I am here, but then moments like when Darlan received the priesthood, stood up and told us, "Thanks for knocking on my door." I know this is the most important thing to be doing
Overall the week flew by; here are some bullet points
-every Tuesday we go to a bordering city to have our District Council. we always get to drive along the beach and this Tuesday our driver had the windows down with Brazilian music and I was loving life.
I feel like it still hasn't hit me yet that I'm in Brazil. that my mission call was Brazil. I still don't believe it haha.
-Tuesday night we were fasting and I tripped, so my heartrate was up and then I passed out.
0 survival skills.
poor Sis de Sousa was shaking and so nervous and I remember just thinking, why won't she stop talking to me so I can sleep.
not my best moment passed out on the side of the road in Brazil at 9pm, but we're all good now.
-I absolutely hate the mosquitoes. every day I look down and there's blood from all the bites. All the bottoms of my dresses or skirts have blood from the bites. one morning I woke up with my feet bleeding and saw a black window on the floor.
I love my mission I love my mission I love my mission
-this week we went to the island because de Sousa had an appointment. I also had some cash to change for Reis and somehow...someway.... the place HAPPENED to be located inside the Floripa shopping. it was so unfortunate. Like oh my gosh this is my worst nightmare.
anddddd
transfers
we just got our notices and I'm staying here, and I'll be training a new Sister. an American. which means I can't look at my Brazilian comp when I don't understand a word.
I'm also so sad to be saying bye to de Sousa, we both burst into tears when we realized were separating. especially because she's going to Chapecó 15 hours away on the other side of the state.
I'll be heading to the island tomorrow to pick her up, and I'm very very nervous.
I feel really honored that the Lord has enough confidence in me, but I feel nervous.
A little like Enoch
I definitely at times still have a gringa accent
sometimes I don't know what to say or do
and right now, I'm really nervous!! but it's ok.
I definitely feel like Enoch
but if there's one thing that I can teach her, it's here we can find Jesus Christ and help others find him as well
please pray for me this week
thanks haha
