Another good week. I can confidently say this is much easier than cheer camp. Next week I will have been a missionary for 1 month! Only 17 to go!
Highs 😁💗✨️
-Chocolate croissants
-volleyball (B team in middle school really prepped me)
-🥈place in a Português/ memorization game. (Good job Sister Nielsen)
-receiving emails and messages from you all!
-Got a high rating on our first mock lesson in Português
-taking pão de queso from breakfast in my bag to eat later
-being able to feel the Spirit and love from Heavenly Father so often every day.
It was a similar week, class all day every day. But slowly I can see my Português getting a little better every day. I have this dress I brought that I said I can't wear until I'm fluent in Português. So, I guess I'll get to wear it at my homecoming?
My District (group) is great. We all get along and laugh so much. Yesterday we got an email saying we're gaining another companion, and she is so sweet! She's from the Philippines and is 4'11 haha. She's so nice. If there's another teenage girl and I want to find something in common with, I just bring up Taylor Swift. 100% success rate. So, we have been having a great time in our new trio.
We've been able to go to the temple at least once a week, but usually twice and the peace I feel in there is so fulfilling. It's what I need to keep going through the week. As I've been doing my personal study, I see how repeated we are told to keep the commandments and our covenants we make with Heavenly Father. But I've developed a testimony that they are out of love, not restriction. He knows the way we will be happy, and he has given us a clear way to achieve exaltation and salvation. I've noticed in my life I am happiest when keeping my commandments and covenants. It's a pure joy, a joy the world can't give.
