first, this week micah boy turns 1️⃣‼️🥳
ohhhh how I love this boy
he's way huge now
miss him so much
on the back of my plaque, I have a gator sticker, and it always reminds me of Micah boy
ok and now my week:
the last couple weeks and this week we've been finding so many new people. which means someone we taught, and they said we could keep teaching them. last week we had 22 and this week we had 23.
getting them to show up at church.... different story
we had ☝🏻 friend there this week! he described church as "full of peace"

I think one of my favorite parts of being a missionary is getting to bring people to church for the first time and watching them take the sacrament.
I love leaning over and explain the meaning of everything we do and why we do it. I love seeing them have this time of their week to be still and feel the Spirit.
I always felt like to get the complete mission experience, I always needed to have a bucket shower.
Then my shower broke and I had the option and I immediately pulled out my emergency fund and bought a new one because no way will I be taking a bucket shower.
the recruitment portal for basketball has been open, and I heard some teams have been wanting Ethan.
happy to see the truth that having a missionary in the family blesses the rest of the family still rings true. who knows where he'd be without my service.
something crazy is that my next Zone Conference will be my last with our current presidents, the Finholdts. they have been really great
after that, we'll have our new ones, and the mission will completely change.
oh & I'll be in my last 6 months.... 😳
training is going good! training her is so easy because she learns really well. I'm so tired every day but being kept busy makes the days better.
I know she hates it when we're in the road and I make her tell me 20 verbs a day. I am my father's daughter.
2 things right now that are actually so terrible are:
a) dogs in the street. it's like every house has a sandlot dog. or worse, they're the tiny ones that don't know how to not yap
b) working rich neighborhoods in 90 degree 90 percent humidity and seeing their pool parties and you can't join.
I will never take a pool party for granted in my life again
this week I got asked what a relationship with Jesus Christ meant to me.
just being asked that, I got teary because he means everything to me.
I love being here because I feel like even for a short time in my life, I can give even a tiny bit back to him
I love being close to him and I feel so close to him here 🤍🤍
