heyy
guys, I try to not talk about how I'm basically on an island in Brazil every week in my email, I really do, but here's another reminder
my week
-zone conference
-world cup
-11 months!
this week I hit 11 months.
now when I tell people how much time I have they either make an airplane noise or say "ja era"
zone conference!
this week we had zone conference. which was different than most because it was the farewell of our presidents! they earned a lot of my respect and are truly consecrated disciples of Christ. I learned so much.
& I saw my first comp from Biguaçu!! de sousa!
me & my Português, missed her 🫂
I thought after starting my mission I thought goodbyes would be over, but I guess not.
Steenblock & Evershed 🫶
-with transfers coming up, you never know will leave the zone and go to a different one and you can go months without seeing each other.
-but Evershed is going home next transfer, and If I get transferred next transfer, I won't see her until I go home.
I'm still sad
I'm grateful for my angels here God gave me
work wise- I can sum it up with what my ZL said one time in a training "o inimigo não tem um pday"
the adversary (Satan) doesn't have a p-day. he was working overtime this week.
we had 2 dates and both now are being taken off because we have a great lesson, leave for 24 hours. then we get a message that someone they live with thinks we're a scam and won't let us help them anymore.
kind of makes me feel like I'm doing something right if the adversary is working thatt hard against me. like he has 0 nonchalantness.
but we've been having a lot of our friends at church it's been a blessing
our church is on the afternoon so before we like to run around the town and invite everyone/ confirm that they're going.
makes me feel like John Revere on his horse
"the British are coming! the British are coming"
I hope that gave the visual
CUPA ⚽️🇧🇷🏟🎉
yes, they didn't lie. Brazil loves soccer!!
the streets are decorated with banners and flags, and every bar is full when there's a game on.
we strategically planned a family home evening with a recent convert's family on the night of the Brazil game.
I love this country so much
I love all you guys so much! have the best week
I listened to the women's conference this week and like always, Tamara Runia was perfect.
Let His Radiance Shine through You!
it's only a quick hour long, but I promise, so worth it
transfers next week! pray for me!
